Donate to the OBTU 2026 Annual Fund Drive:

All net proceeds from the Annual Fund Drive will only be spent on OBTU’s Conservation and Education Programs.   Your donations are the primary funding for OBTU’s ambitious programs.  Your Trout Unlimited membership fee goes primarily to TU National with very little available for funding local OBTU chapter programs.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS FOR DONATING TO OBTU:

Oak Brook Trout Unlimited requires local fund raising to achieve its mission:

It costs money to: restore a riverbank;  contribute to the purchase & transfer of private land to public ownership;  operate a fish tank so students learn about & appreciate cold water trout habitat; and provide equipment for youth fly fishing classes and our summer youth camp.

Oak Brook TU can’t accomplish these and many other cold water conservation goals without your help.

Our local OBTU Chapter must be self-funded for our local conservation activities, youth programs and general operating expenses.  Membership dues flow to National Trout Unlimited with very limited sharing of funds with the IL Council and our Oak Brook Chapter.

While we gladly accept contributions via credit card or check, please consider making a donation via PayPal, the safer, easier way to pay online without revealing your credit card number.

Options for donating to various OBTU funds are provided below:

The General Operating Fund can be used to meet any appropriate financial obligation of Oak Brook Trout Unlimited.    The Board of Directors allocates these funds based on overall OBTU priorities.   After administrative costs are met, surplus General Operating Funds are available to the Conservation, Education & Endowment Funds at the Board’s discretion.

To Donate to the OBTU Conservation Fund:

Conservation Fund monies are earmarked to be spent only on Conservation projects.

To donate to the OBTU Youth Education Fund:

Education Fund monies are earmarked to be spent only on Education projects.

To donate to the OBTU Endowment Fund:

The Endowment Fund is to build a more secure, vibrant future for the Chapter’s conservation and education activities by putting some assets in an investment account now, that will pay for compelling future projects with cost that cannot be covered by current income. This account can also serve as a “rainy day” fund for such endeavors in times of need.  The OBTU vision is to grow its Endowment Fund to a level where is generates substancial annual investment income for perpetuity which can be used for these purposes.

Become a Valued Sponsor

Another way businesses can support the Trout Unlimited mission is through merchandise donations for our monthly meeting raffles, annual Rod Raffle and December Holiday Party. Students in the Chapter’s Youth Fly Fishing Classes learn with donated rods, reels, and fly tying equipment.

We appreciate the backing of our valued sponsors and encourage our members to support their local businesses!
