Spring Driftless Outing – Fennimore, WI

Hello early Spring Driftless Fishing enthusiasts,
OBTU is pleased to announce a Spring fly fishing trip to the Fennimore, Wisconsin area of the Driftless fly in Southwest Wisconsin

Activities/Dates: April 22-24, 2022
· Trip is organized for 12 people
· Several rooms have been reserved at the Fenway House Hotel, 1096 Lincoln, Fennimore, Wisconsin (See Google maps for directions) https://fenwayhousehotel.com Other hotels are available.
· You can arrive Friday PM the 22nd (fish on you own on the way up) or early Saturday the 23rd for breakfast at 8:00 AM
◦ I will arrive mid PM Friday, and if you are interested, we will meet at the Fenway House at 7 PM and walk to local restaurant for dinner.
◦ We will meet at the hotel for Saturday breakfast to discuss fishing locations and options.
▪ Bring your maps for review. Several good apps are available including Trout Routes
◦ Coffee and light breakfast will be provided – local restaurants available if you want a heartier breakfast.
◦ We will pair up and fish Saturday (bring your own lunch)
◦ Then return to the Fennimore for a hearty dinner at 7:00 PM
◦ For those who stay Saturday night, we will have a light breakfast on Sunday AM, then fish until all the trout have been hooked and the rest are hiding. Depart on your own schedule.
· Each person should make their own transportation arrangements – this has proven to make most sense on past trips. We can double up if desired closer to the date
· Please sign up with John Snyder by email and he will expedite your hotel reservation
· We will hold a get together at DuPage Fly Shop, Naperville, on the Wednesday April 20 at 7 PM to discuss final details. Jeremy will advise on bugs for this time of year. Beer and light snacks provided. More later.
· Each person pays for their own hotel.
◦ If we decide later on that Fenway House is to put on a BBQ for us on Saturday night, each person will chip in, $20 for dinner and service.
