Our youth education programs offer members additional opportunities to meet colleagues while educating future conservation-oriented stewards of our rivers and streams through our Trout in the Classroom program and teaching fly fishing fundamentals as part of our Saturday Fly Fishing Classes.

The ninth edition of the Illinois Council of Trout Unlimited Youth Conservation and Fly Fishing camp is scheduled July 22-27, 2018 at the RAM Conference Center in Roscommon, Michigan. The 2017 camp mission is to develop the next generation of cold water conservation advocates while also providing a rigorous introduction to the sport of fly fishing on the famed Au Sable River in Michigan.

Trout Unlimited has teen members in every state.  They often come to TU through a summer camp experience, fly fishing class, or Trout in the Classroom program, and they stay because they also care about conservation.  Oak Brook TU Teens are invited to participate in regular stream restoration and conservation activities such as our spring and fall macroinvertebrate studies with the Coldwater River Watershed in Michigan.  See Oak Brook TU Teens for more information.
