ADDITIONAL OPTIONS FOR DONATING TO OBTU:

Oak Brook Trout Unlimited requires local fund raising to achieve its mission:

It costs money to restore a riverbank, to operate a fish tank so students learn the importance of clean water to stream ecology, and to provide equipment for youth fly fishing classes and our summer youth camp.  Oak Brook TU can’t accomplish its goals without your help.

Our local OBTU Chapter must be self-funded for these programs because there are no other outside sources of funding.  National Trout Unlimited membership dues are not shared with our Chapter for funding our local conservation activities, youth programs or general operating expenses.

While we gladly accept contributions via credit card or check, please consider making a donation via PayPal, the safer, easier way to pay online without revealing your credit card number.

Options for donating to various OBTU funds are provided below:

To donate to the OBTU General Operating Fund Donation:

The General Operating Fund can be used to meet any appropriate financial obligation of Oak Brook Trout Unlimited.    The Board of Directors allocates these funds based on overall OBTU priorities.   After administrative costs are met, surplus General Operating Funds are available to the Conservation, Education & Endowment Funds at the Board’s discretion.

To Donate to the OBTU Conservation Fund:

Conservation Fund monies are earmarked to be spent only on Conservation projects.

To donate to the OBTU Youth Education Fund:

Education Fund monies are earmarked to be spent only on Education projects.

To donate to the OBTU Endowment Fund:

The Endowment Fund is to build a more secure, vibrant future for the Chapter’s conservation and education activities by putting some assets in an investment account now, that will pay for compelling future projects with cost that cannot be covered by current income. This account can also serve as a “rainy day” fund for such endeavors in times of need.  The OBTU vision is to grow its Endowment Fund to a level where is generates substancial annual investment income for perpetuity which can be used for these purposes.
