SUMMARY:February Chapter Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This will be a hybrid meeting.   Join us in person at our usual Central Park West location or log on via Zoom.   See details below. \n \n  \nJeff Hastings\, Project Manager for the Driftless Area Restoration Effort\, TUDARE will be retiring the end of April 2022.  He has had a long career working in the Driftless Area (40+ years).  Prior to working for Trout Unlimited he worked for conservation departments\, over 20 years just in Vernon County.  Vernon County is where he started putting together large stream restoration projects\, writing grants and developing partnerships.  When the opportunity came along to work full-time for Trout Unlimited accelerating stream restoration in the Driftless he jumped at the opportunity.  Now\, after sixteen years the TUDARE partnership has improved over 200 miles and secured over $50M for restoration.  Jeff will be highlighting his career Wednesday night\, Feb. 16th on how stream rehabilitation project designs have changed and the success TUDARE has accomplished with its partners. \nLink to Zoom Meeting:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81372876379\n\nOR:  Dial in by phone:  312 626 6799     Meeting ID: 813 7287 6379\n\nNote:   OBTU announcements will be made about 7:20pm\n            The keynote speaker will begin about 7:30pm

DESCRIPTION:Anyone planning to volunteer to help with the youth fly fishing classes this summer should try to attend. \nWe look to inform new volunteers\, review and discuss programs with the existing volunteers\, and look for ways to improve our programs going forward.  We will review: \n  \n\nYouth Fly Fishing program.   We discuss the skills – knot tying\, fly tying\, casting\, tackle assembly – that we must pass on to the students in these classes.\n\nThis year we will be more hands-on to ensure that all mentors know the items to be taught.\n\n\n\n
