SUMMARY:2020 Youth Fly Fishing Classes

SUMMARY:OBTU Sept. Membership Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to OBTU’s  “Iowa Night” chapter meeting.  Featured speakers will include: \nBrian Fankhauser\, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation\, will discuss the Foundation’s conservation work in NE Iowa.   OBTU recently worked through Brian to contribute to the transfer of private land on Bloody Run Creek to the Iowa DNR.  We were pleased to provide assistance with increasing the public access to this quality trout stream for perpetuity.    Bloody Run is located on the Iowa side of the Mississippi River about 5 minutes from Prairie Du Chien\, Wisconsin. \nKent Kleckner\, is proprietor of Iowa Bear Creek Anglers offering fly fishing guide services in NE Iowa & is also a leader in the local TU chapter.    Kent’s home water is the North and South Bear Rivers\, Waterloo Creek\, and other streams in the Decorah\, Iowa area.   Kent will discuss fishing & conservation issues on the NE Iowa streams and summarize the work of his TU Chapter. \nThis meeting will be a “pep rally” for the Oak Brook Chapter fishing outing to be based in Decorah\, Iowa during the weekend of October 16-18. \nStay tuned for Zoom registration information which will be provided prior to the September 16 meeting. \n
