All skill levels are welcome as we meet to discuss all things fly fishing and Oak Brook TU on the last Tuesday of each month.  Each night will have a theme\, but all topics are welcome in this informal roundtable format. \nThere is no cost for these events\, and all are welcome\, including guests. \nFuture events will include tips on knots\, fly selection and naturals\, trip reviews\, what we do on our conservation projects\, and other topics attendees suggest. Locations of the meetings will vary within the Chicago area.

SUMMARY:Youth Fly Fishing Class Training Session
DESCRIPTION:Oak Brook TU is seeking volunteers for its 16th year of  youth fly fishing classes.\n\nThese classes cover a basic discussion of fly fishing tackle–rods\, reels lines and leaders–and the different types of flies to imitate different foods as well as flyrod casting instruction.\nThere are sections on knot tying\, outdoor safety\, and fly tying. All of these activities provided a hands-on taste of the sport of fly fishing.\n\nClasses are held once a month from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Camp Sagawau Environmental Learning Center – a unit of the Cook County Forest Preserves located at 12545 West 111th Street\, Lemont\, IL\, with fishing on nearby Cook County Forest Preserve ponds and Lakes in the Palos area.\n\nTo sign up for our “Training Session” on Saturday\, February 29\, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Camp Sagawau Forest Preserve Learning Center please contact Mike Lesiak:\nE:   Michael.Lesiak@cbservices.org\nM:  630.300.4920\n\nSee our Youth Fly Fishing Class web page for 2020 dates.
